So I picked this bike up today from craigslist, thought I was done with dirt bikes for a while after I sold my 07 CR250 (some of you might of saw the build)
Snagged this bike off Craigslist for $800 with a title, little more than I wanted to spend
Bike has a blown motor, unknown issue right now. Crank is locked up.
I plan on building this bike into a fun rider bike, nothing overly expensive unlike my last 07 250 which I thought was too nice to ride.
The build is going to consist of mostly used parts that I will buy off Craigslist and eBay hence the name "Craigslist Build". I have scraped up some parts so far and will post pictures of the process.

Gave it quick hand scrub and hose down, but should have hit it with the power washer, she's super dirty
Also starting to do some scrubbing on some parts
Got some Raptor pegs, Renthal 996 bars, PC built shock from 13' crf 250, 280mm rotor, and a wheelset
None of this stuff is new but will work great since this is a craigslist budget build. Wheels set is A60s with Haan hubs and bulldog spokes
Still more parts to come and still deciding whether to build the motor I have or buy a complete motor, looking to the more affordable route. Trying to keep this build under $2k
The Shop
Had my Frame and swing arm vapour blasted back to like a stock look. Starting to put it all back together now and get some bits for it. 2004 this one is.
I spend some time cleaning the linkage and taking the casting marks and number off it. Linkage didn't come out perfect but good enough for what its for.
Started with this linkage
After Cleaning
Taking the casing marks off with dremel
Finished product after sanding and scotch brite
Pit Row
I'm in the air on whether I want to go with my PC clamps or pick up a set of Xtrig ROCS but for now the PC clamps are here to stay, will change out the lower bearing with a CR one to allow for more clearance.
s and stuff. I dont have a company doing that anywhere nearby, will sand blasting with baking soda be too rough?
Also tried to machine out the front brake line bracket with my XY vise and drill press, ended up wrecking 3 total due to cheap vise but managed to finish one with a dremel.
