how to make a 125 fast

alright, at a recent outing at a motocross track, with my brand new 125, I found I couldn't keep up with the 250f's. I don't want any of this hold it wide bullshit because I am fairly confident in my riding ability and i know me and the other rides are even in ability.
I want to actually make the bike quicker. so what pipe? Reeds? big bore kit? any suspension mods?

For pipes, FMF or Pro-circuit are both good, and will give you good results. with reeds try a set of Boyesen Pro reeds first, they are cheaper than the full V-Force or Boyesen blocks but will be night and day better than the stock reeds. Also don't under-estermate the potential of a good tune, and what premix ratio are you running?
