This week’s Pit Bits are a bit shorter than normal, due to a couple of factors. Since the Lites class isn’t on either the East or West schedule (because this is a World Supercross round for the 450 guys only) you’ve got a mix of talent in the Lites class. It’s heavy on Canadian riders, with a token handful of Americans. (Basically Matt Boni, Kyle Cunningham, Kyle Keylon and Shaun Skinner from the DNA Energy Drink / BTOSports / Rick Case Honda squad.)
The other reason for the brevity of this one is that about half the people are pitted outside in the warmth and privacy of their own big rigs, rather than in the cold concrete hallways in the Rogers Centre.
One thing that’s not short is the Tim Ferry-designed track. With a huge floor space to work with, Timmy went wild, with lap times hovering just under the one-minute mark.
