James Addiction

I’ll admit it, I’m a big James Stewart fan. There, I said it. I can’t say that I have agreed with all of his decisions during his career, but who cares? The guy is one of the few moto superstars who has managed to gain any mainstream attention, he’s charismatic, and much like other MX greats, his abilities and determination on the bike forever changed the sport.

2013 wasn’t his best season to date…in fact it was probably his most mediocre, but he did manage to complete most of the grueling indoor and outdoor seasons. Now James is already back on the bike, pounding out laps at the Suzuki test track in SoCal in preparation for the Monster Energy Cup…and he’s also just as pumped about the new GoPro HERO3+ as we are!

Kick-Ass Two-Strokes

Premix fans worldwide probably had two simultaneous strokes when Youthstream unveiled their plans for a 300cc two-stroke championship. During the conference there were three 300cc models on display including an all-new Husqvarna TC300. While it bears the Husqvarna name, the bike looks to be more of a KTM 300SX with Husaberg bodywork. Confused? Husqvarna was purchased by KTM’s primary shareholder, Stefan Pierer, earlier in 2013. KTM also owns Husaberg. That’s three brands all essentially owned by one company so there is bound to be some mixing of styles and technology.

Politics aside, the important thing is that this championship could breath some new life into the premix market, and bring out some more kick-ass two-strokes!

Italia!

Ever wonder what it’s like to land on the podium at the Motocross of Nations? Check out this re-Tweet from Antonio Cairoli of his Team Italy MX2 teammate, Alessandro Lupino. The great thing about the excitement in this video is that the Italians didn’t even win (it was only their second time ever finishing within the top three though), but you couldn’t tell by the celebration. Congratulations to Team Belgium as well for a hard-fought win. Team USA was far from celebratory, but second place is nothing to be ashamed of.

Kenny Roczen (@kenroczen94) proudly shows off his 1st place MX2 class individual win at this years MXoN on his home soil in Germany:

Ricky Carmichael is hard at work on 2014 with his @RCHracing team "Another day in the saddle..@rchracing @suzukicycles. #yoshimura #testing"

From Fox Racing Instagram: We couldn't have scripted the day @kenroczen94 had at MXoN winning the MX2/MX3 Moto in front of his home country fans and claiming his 4th MX2 individual class win in a row.

RupertX Pellet chimes in on the MXoN results and all the bickering going on on our forums with his words of wisdom to put and end to it: @RealRupertX I'll tell you WHO we need to BLAME for our second-place at the Motocross Des Nations! Belgium.

How about one more? Tommy Weeck throws a little style check:

GuyB's Picks

Big News for Ryan Dungey.

It was a down weekend for Ryan Dungey at the Motocross of Nations, but it looks like things got better in the aftermath.

Zach Osborne at the Six Days

It's awesome to see Zach Osborne stepping out of the box and trying out the ISDE. That's a whole different animal. Derik is Zach's Mechanic.

Reedy Chain-Yanking

You know why Chad Reed yanks people's chains with his Instagram posts? It's because they're so easily yanked. Keep up the good work, Reedy.

Ryan Villopoto Back In Action

It's cool to see Ryan Villopoto back on a bike, though I'm sure there are some who are wishing he was in Germany last weekend, rather than dealing with a prior injury.
