Scott “More Than Goggles” 2011 Intro 2

Scott’s been making some big changes in the last year or two, expanding their product line from goggles and boots, to a full head-to-toe array of goodies. Over the last couple years they’ve been adding key staff members, who have been working on to fill in the gaps in their product line. We got to take a peek at their combined efforts last week at a 2011 gear intro set at a private air museum and lounge at Gillespie Field in El Cajon, and came away impressed.

After a first crack at the U.S. market with their riding gear last year, they added in helmet line, and introduced a much more extensive line of gear this time around, and while they were at it, they added a line of upper body protection, and retooled their boot lineup. Heck, they even scrapped their logo in favor of a new design.

For those of you who like to keep track of that kind of stuff (or are just easily confused by change), here's Scott's new corporate logo.

The 250 and 450 (we’re guessing you can figure out which is the more expensive of the two) are the names for the new gear lineup. Each one has 4-6 different designs, and there are multiple colorways for each one.

This private air museum was pretty amazing, and there were some really cool old planes, as well as original vintage aviation posters and other memorabilia.

Scott's official on-track gear models, Austin Stroupe and Davi Millsaps, took the taxi in.

It was cool to see Austin Stroupe on the mend after his crash (and resulting surgery) in Houston. He's hoping to be back in action by Red Bud. (Can you tell which shoulder he injured?)

This particular plane was the last one that Steve McQueen owned. The number on the fuselage? That was also his ID number when he was in a boys home in Chino.
