Bring On The Outdoors 6

This time of the year is fun in So. Cal. There are still snow-capped mountains nearby, but in the lower areas (like Glen Helen) the temps are already starting to creep into the 80s. Since the West Coast SX guys are on hiatus while during the East rounds, we stopped by Glen Helen this week to get a first peek at some of the outdoor testing that teams like Rockstar Energy Suzuki, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki, and DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing/Yamaha are up to. While we were there, we also spotted Doug Dubach putting in some laps on his own '09 YZ250, and figured that some of the two-stroke die-hards wouldn't mind getting a sweet little pre-mix fix. The bike Doug is on isn't one of his Yamaha test bikes, or one borrowed from a magazine, but one that he bought himself.

Doug had also hinted last year that he might do a limited edition of DRD two-stroke pipes, and he's obviously moved forward from there, as he spotted him bolting on a new unit to test.
