2007 Amp'd Mobile Supercross Series: Orlando Photo Gallery and Results

If you missed the Orlando Supercross, well…you missed the end of an era, as well as one of the best nights of racing we've seen in quite a while.

Coming into the night, it we already knew that it was going to be an emotional wringer, since it was the last Supercross race on Ricky Carmichael's part-time schedule. But the night also featured a Lites class main event with plenty of surprises, like a red flag restart, riders not allowed to race because of work done outside the starting gate area, the series points leader getting stuffed off the track, a last turn crash that juggled the final podium, and a former Lites East champion taking the win.

Besides the emotion and action in the Supercross class surrounding Ricky Carmichael's retirement, it was cool to see Branden Jesseman back on top of the podium in the Lites class.

But the capper to the night was a 20-lap main event where James and Ricky went head-to-head at full speed, leaving the fans on their feet, and photographers with goose bumps, and nearly everyone saying it was one of the best they'd seen.

We'll miss watching RC, and the sport will definitely miss him, but it's an event that we were glad we were there to cover.
