James Stewart came within three laps of possibly taking his first overall of the season in the AMA Motocross class. But instead, it was Ricky Carmichael who grabbed his fifth win of the season in his last race before his final National later this summer in Millville, MN. Stewart had won the first moto, and led for ten laps of the second, but tangled with a large round haybale used to mark the inside of a corner, allowing Ricky Carmichael to get by.

In the Motocross Lites division, Ryan Villopoto (1-1) won his fourth consecutive moto, and he and his Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki teammate, Ben Townley (2-2) dominated the top two spots. Behind them, Josh Grant's 4-3 was good for third overall, despite Josh feeling under the weather.
