That's a very nice bike man I just got my first RM I'm new on this site but have been around mx long time every time I rode one I was better on it than my own bike and they look so hot that clean yellow I found and o5 250 I'm excited what was some off the more expensive stuff you wanted to do ? My money is defiantly not flowing in I spent my last dime lol and I'm 38 with a family but wanna dress mine up in future

Hey, looking good-- esp. on the Yellow Excel score ( WAY HARD to find)! Have you checked out my 2004 RM250 project built as an '02 SoBe bike? It's similar to yours but with RG3 A-Kit, a Hinson clutch and PC motor. The RG3 stuff I kind of had to scour the planet to find, the Hinson stuff was all on close-out so I was able to get it fairly cheap. PC did port the jug and reshape the head, you pick up a little more everywhere but it's not night-and-day. Man, the SoBe bikes are some of my favorite factory Suzukis-- not only did the bikes look sik, Pastrana was still taking MX seriously back then! I still have the MXA from '03 where they said Travis' bike was the best they'd ever tested.

Yup! I read it all, DJ helped me out a bunch, Some of the parts on the bike are take offs of yours..... It does have a full hinson (I didn't put the clutch cover on as I wanted to do the darkened side cases to give it the factory look) and a PC motor as well. I wanted to put Kit stuff on it but it proved hard to find and for the few pieces I did find, the price was more than what I thought it was worth at the time.

Def a fun build! I will ride it a few times and pack it away... love this bike!

Oh yeah, may head down to tx to do some riding with DJ at some point...He wants me to bring this!

Could you please tell me how you got that clutch cover look? Looks like the same factory finish as jesseman sobe rm 125 and pastrana rm 250. Nice bike btw!

Did you use a specific steel for the glide plate tabs that you fabricated or will any plain steel work? I'm in the process of stripping down my frame for black powder coat and want to fabricated the same glide plate tabs for my bike as well.
