Added reply in a thread Is Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch a fun place to ride? 8/4/2017 12:50 PM

It's the best week of Am racing you can attend. It's impossible to train for, unless you live in the hi temp/humidity. The track is hard to get some flow going, unless you ride there multiple years, and then it's still tough. You won't find better racing, ... more »

Matt, good luck with the docs and surgery. Listen to the PT people when that time comes. Do what they tell you, plus work on your own. Just don't over do things early.. Typical moto way of thinking might not be the best way to recover from this one. ... more »

Thanks DC. Sounds like the rules were followed, and you are 100% correct.. If you aren't standing at the bottom of Mt Martin, there's no way to tell how steep the climb, and wet the conditions were. Jeremy waited for all the riders that were ahead of ... more »

One more dude from the north country doing well. Glad to see him up in the top 10.

Denny, are you saying the flag staff was doing what they were taught? If we take a quick look at Cole's downed bike, where is that in relation to the landing of the table top and any blind area on the track? The AMA has specific rules about flagging, ... more »

M'kay D, but remember I didn't question your experience or ability with a throttle or flag in your hand. You left out the part about my recent history behind the gate and on the track. Help me out with that detail when you have a minute. BTW, there's ... more »

I wouldn't presume to know what the Vital members flagging experience might be. Have no idea really, but would believe a very low percentage have held a flag in their hand for a full day, on an outdoor track, waiting for a floater to come by and relieve ... more »

You'll have to show me where I made any assumption on your riding, or any other ability you have or don't have. From recent history, your reading comprehension may be questionable. Never tried crack, you offering?

Deman, your opinion is not the only "correct" one? Professional riders have a different view of the yellow flag. They aren't slowing down, but they are looking ahead, sometimes.. That can have the appearance of ignoring the yellow flag. They basically ... more »

Added reply in a thread Cole Seely Crash at Muddy Creek 6/26/2017 6:06 AM

Oh Johnny, I don't recall making excuses for anyone? My opinion would be approximately 25% of the flaggers around the country put in a below par effort, and that same percentage over achieve but rarely get noticed. That said, it's a crappy job that doesn't ... more »

What would you guys have those flaggers do? They are educated to never go on the track, by Davey's post from a couple weeks back. The dude flagging the table doesn't have anything to flag, since Cole's bike is far enough down the track be out of the ... more »

If you plan on spending the day at the track, make sure you get tickets on the West side of the stadium.. The East side has the sun in their eyes for a long time..

Until the yellow flags meaning is different than it is today, nothing changes. Hopefully nothing significant happens before a review of what those flags are for.. If you've ever held one in your hand, at a national, you could use that first hand view, ... more »
