Added reply in a thread One Industries done? 9/1/2016 4:15 PM

Thanks for the update Danny!! I did not know you were at D'COR. You were my JT Racing Rep back in the day (96ish) and I remember when One Industries began and it was cool to see it explode and evolve. Once the brand sold, the whole "feel" was gone. I ... more »

Added reply in a thread How many hours until a 450 rebuild 9/1/2016 3:07 PM

I would say if you are doing moto, rebuild the top end at 40 hours. If you are doing trail, weekend warrior type riding you should be able to go 50 or 60. I would adjust/check valves every 15 hours and do a leak down test at 30 hours just to be safe. ... more »

I hope Wilson, Tickle, Weimer. I think those 3 guys have had a rough hand dealt to them as far as injuries in the past few years. I think all 3 are healthy and ready to do work.

I think when Roczen made his decision and signed with Honda, he was still in the woods mentally. He had not started the Coors Light and pizza diet that changed everything for him toward the end of supercross. Then you throw in the stock triple clamps ... more »

Between the transmission issues and crank issues it is not good. In my opinion a bike like that should be able to last for 4 or 5 nationals on the bottom end. It was already stated somewhere else, but guys used to run 125s all the time and do a top end ... more »

Added reply in a thread Losing 2-3 tablespoons of Coolant, is this normal during the hot weather or a blown head gasket? 8/23/2016 3:02 PM

The time you need to have it run is different depending on the seal failure. I would tape a piece of white paper towel over the hole and go ride it for a few minutes. If the paper towel has coolant on it, you are leaking. For a bike to leak a small amount ... more »

Added reply in a thread 2006 RM250 chain rubbing the engine case 8/23/2016 6:59 AM

I would tend to agree with the sprocket being on backward. If you look closely at the countershaft seal you can see that the 2 to 8 o'clock area is rubbed pretty good. The lip on the sprocket should rest on the spacer that is inside the seal and keep ... more »

Added reply in a thread Losing 2-3 tablespoons of Coolant, is this normal during the hot weather or a blown head gasket? 8/23/2016 6:56 AM

I would agree with Paw Paw....first place to check is the weep hole under the pump. You should see some staining or residue next to the hole. You can clean it up good with contact cleaner and then run the bike. Usually a head gasket will smoke and as ... more »
