Got them out tonight by using a torch and dropping the case about six inches onto a piece of cardboard laying on the garage floor. They fell out just like you all said. Another question while this thread is rolling; I'm going to buy new needle bearings ... more »

The case is cracked where one of the transmission shift fork rods sits into. I included a pic ( The crack is at about 9 o'clock). It's very minor but enough to allow play in the rod and poor shifting. It's bound up a few times once put together.

I use a heat gun to soften the plastic base. Just be sure to continuously move the heat gun around and not stick in one area or you risk melting it. A couple minutes should do the trick. Using this method, a standard stapler works fine. I actually had ... more »

it will work but not ideal. Especially if you plan on using a 120 wide tire, it becomes quite a chore mounting tire in my experience. Also, the wider 2.15 tends lay out a wider footprint of the tire once mounted giving you extra traction for the 450 ... more »

All i needed for my 09 with the same setup was one longer additional case mounting bolt like you mentioned. I reused the OEM impeller, washer, and bolt.
