I love my 2006 CR but the RM is a great bike as well. I have not ridden the newest models of RM's but have ridden several older versions and they just never felt settled to me, corners like no other but a very busy bike. Some guys will love ... more »

What Jake said, the rear suspension is right as rain. If you really feel it is nessesary you could do some DLC on the shaft or some hard anodsizing of the body. MB1 set mine up with a rebuild and revalve and it works great

Just took my first trip ever out to Texas and it was love at first sight. The Hill Country, DFW, Houston, all of those places were great, the food was amazing and the friendliest people on the planet. The MX scene looks incredible as well, kind of bummed ... more »

Added reply in a thread Advice: '16 KTM 250sx or '16 YZ250 2 stroke 5/5/2016 9:52 PM

I built a sweet '06 Honda CR250 a few years back and after my boy rode it he got the 2 stroke bug and wanted a 250 smoker. I did all the research and like you narrowed it down to the YZ or KTM. I ended up going with a very clean '13 YZ250 which I picked ... more »

Here is my 2013 YZ, stock radiator shrouds and restyled UFO side panels and fenders. I don't care for the look of the 2015-16 airbox and side panels and I like the old style Radiator shrouds better, oh well its all personal preference but I ... more »

http://www.systemtechracing.com/product_p/55-01.htm Looks like these will lower the pegs on a CR/CRF another 1/2 inch. Also CRF's Only makes them as well.

I'm 6' 7" and ride a CR250R Honda, I run a tall SDG seat (love these, foam is nice and stiff as well) Fastway pegs in the lowboy position (down and back a bit) Tall bar mounts rotated to be further forward as well and high CR bars. There used to be a ... more »

Added reply in a thread Which 450 would you buy and why? 3/30/2016 3:55 PM

If I had unlimited resources I'd go with a new KTM in a heartbeat, they are doing it right and have really outpaced the Japanese brands. If you are on a budget or going used I'd find the cleanest most lightly used 450 and fix the quirks of that brand. ... more »

I have to be honest, in all my years of doing business there this was my first experience with the service dept. I do 99% of my own repairs and just got lazy, never again. It was a simple and honest mistake that they admitted to but they showed no interest ... more »

Is there a more appropriate place? This seems like the perfect place to point out that Craparral sucks and if they stop advertising here then all the better. Maybe they will clean up their act if they get called out enough on their bullshit or enough ... more »

Chaparral sucks, zero customer service and just too big to care. Had a bad experience in the service dept and they admitted blame but just too bad for you. I was a 25 year customer who had spent thousands in there and they didn't care. Craparral wont ... more »

At Chaparral customer service is just a slogan, like others have said, just too big to care. I just got screwed on a bad repair that left me stranded in the desert, the manager admitted it was their fault but sorry we are not going to refund your money. ... more »

You will love getting on the 250 smoker, the fun factor is through the roof. The RM has no problem with parts availability other than some of the newest aftermarket stuff and the RM is a fast and fun bike.

I ride a Honda CR250R 2006 and love it, like some others have said, the motor needs some work but the bike is bulletproof, it handles very well and has good suspension. Honda late model smokers are also highly sought after and will hold value. With that
