Good read, interesting build! Obviously i like the focus on saving weight as this is what i've been doing on my CR 125 AF as well. I was able to save over 8 kilos (18 lbs) on my 125...and get it down to just 87,5 kilos / 193 lbs. And i have some other

No Mx for at least another couple of months for me. I shattered my wrist and it takes really long to heal. Speaking of Wohlen/CH: This was the start last year using her CR 144 AF in the mixed field together with the boys

If you ship from Germany it doesn't cost all that much. From Switzerland it would cost way too much and get you in trouble with customs as well

But anyway - having suspension that works this good at much lower cost than what you pay in Switzerland ... more »

It's not my bike. On my own AF with Mugen engine i was saving weight to the max to get it even under the lower weight limit of 88 kilos / 194lbs. This bike actually weighs a little more than a stock KTM, mostly due to the regular spring forks and the ... more »

Some more detailed pics: Front-end with conventional Showa spring forks (completely revalved , TPS system, etc. by Poletti Suspension), Kite triple clamps for Supermotard (these have the legs actually wider apart than those for MX for enhanced stability),

Just yesterday i got the correct fork guards for the above 1989 Mugen forks. They differ in shape to all following models and these days are as rare as these forks as well. I searched the net, various forums and also vintage marketplaces...but in the

My hand is still hindering me from doing any work, let alone think about riding! It might be another couple of months. Meanwhile i ordered a quick-turn throttle which i hope lets me continue to ride when my movement might not get back to where it was

Here you go! I'll post pics of the "stock" '89 alongside so you can compare the two. There's no port modifications done to the '89, just the addition of that tiny port on the exhaust and some material has been taken off at the base to have it sit a little

Last year i was a lucky guy the italians let me compete at that race in Montevarcchi since my bike was still outfitted with a '90 Mugen engine. But it was clear that for 2016 i had to get a good running '89 ATAC engine. I already have that sweet stock
