Yes I had a couple of sets of Ultimate gear around 1985 mainly because I couldn't get JT gear in England at the time! It was good stuff though.

Yes they do wear goggles. The 'stars' didn't use them as they only did a parade lap, some went without helmets. The dirt was good but deceptive, it was very rough and bumpy like hitting 2ft high kerbstones but it is a real motocross track. Lots of fun ... more »

PAT refers to Pat Boulland a French motocross photographer who died in a diving accident in the eighties. I'm sure he contributed to those big coffee table books of Motocross from that era.

I met him last year at the VetsMXdN at Farleigh Castle, England. He rode my friends 1989 RM 250. He was a very nice and interesting guy. He told us some stories about Supercross and US Nationals back in the day that I couldn't possibly repeat
