You can get an aluminium one made in England for around £300, cheaper than a NOS Honda part, easy to paint and TRICK. http://www.gmxradiators.co.uk

Agreed, you can have brake hose ends re-plated and it doesn't affect the rubber, also radiator caps with the seal inside.

UFO plastic is as good as original Honda. Make sure you specify CR1987.

89's are probably the worst forks you could use. The 99 forks would probably need a 99 axle and wheel as the axle/bearings are bigger diameter. You may need the brake calliper as well.

You already have some of the best forks available on that bike. I think if you put (much) later forks on it will ruin the project. Just my tuppence worth.
