I disagree wholeheartedly and feel that my 2000 model was also better. 03 and up twitchy, still push center out like a 2000 or 98 imho. The 03 to 07 are one of the few bikes I ever rode that neither turned particularly well while also being unstable. ... more »

The 250f is actually slightly larger than the 450 dimension wise this year.......

Buddy has one. After a crank and sleeve it's a good bike. Turns better than the 99-07 imho. Both generations. Slightly flat top end, pro circuit works pipe helps with that. Good luck

Anytime I even appeared at an er and it was five grand. My silver insurance was 750 a month and between a surgery, 3 er visits associated to it( wife) and got an MRI on my bad knee after spraining it, that was over 1000 copay, each visit to the er she ... more »

It cost way more money than anybody who isn't rich could hope to pay. Need a few stitches and an overnight in the er? Better have 60000 laying around. Too bad you aren't poor, a non citizen, or rich Jeff otherwise u would've been covered.

Racerx Is awesome, and I love Transworld, but they aren't on mxas level. Esp when it comes to the testing bikes side. I literally haven't ever read a negative ride review in either of them lol.

Mxa will be missed when it is gone. Places like vital have unfortunately made the print side basically irrelevant. Guy deserves credit for jumping on the wave earlier than many, and mxa will need to spend serious time and money on the online side if ... more »

Buddy of mine bought a new used bike, was getting headshake over bumps in fifth gear, one day I decided to check his fork oil. Low and behold one side bone dry lol hehe, put oil in that day, headshake gone but of course the seal leaked a ton of oil. ... more »

Hanging on too much with your hands can cause any motorcycle to be unstable. I focus on squeezing with my legs, and that helps tremendously as far as not having to death grip, I also always always always go McGrath attack position elbows above my wrists ... more »

Dirt bikes are sequential. One up or one down at a time lol. And u can def shift without the clutch, even on the throttle on a bike with a good trans lol.

I guarantee if u rev ten grand like a street bike, and aggressively launch, the 0 to about 70 on a 450 is actually pretty intense. The newer ones remind me of a 500 with TOO much traction. Honestly a 500 can be quite a bit easier to hang onto because ... more »

The power to weight ratio are actually pretty damn close. I def bust the tire loose often on my 17 crf450, as when I rode it on the street a lil after washing it the other day it suddenly felt like 15 extra hp. I decided I am spinning the tire more often ... more »

I been 6th tapped on a 600. The acceleration can be dulled after alot of street for sure. Imho 90 mph across any type of dirt or sand that's not glass smooth, is hairier than 160+ on a street bike, and 450 will do it stock geared. I'm talking full tunnel ... more »

Start on a race bike if u want him to race. It will only help. If u get him an 85 he will have years to grow to the bikes potential. I don't believe in starting the later kids on play bike four stroke. If he was 5-7, sure. But the intimidation of a race ... more »
