I've seen a few places online say they are almost the same tank, I don't think so. the number are: 1987 : 17510-KS7-700 1991: 17510-KZ3-700ZA anyone ever try this swap?

yup thats exactly what i thought. the 1990 tank is definatley a different shade, the 91 is listed as flash red. the 89's are not even close.just wondering why the shop said they were compatible.

great , thanks for the info. the outer case and water pump is in good shape on this one. I have seen the pc pipes for sale online, they are expensive but very limited and still available for now..... DG emailed me back saying 86/87 were not compatible ... more »

hey Guys, just picked up an 87 CR 250 for a restoration project. after going through the parts , I noticed that the tank is from an 86. so , now i'm in need of an 87 fuel tank, and a stock or PC pipe, and a gold rear rim. if any one has parts please

I think the black series comes with the wireless remote, the silver is close in specs and does not have the remote. it can be added later to the silver if I remember correctly. we have the black version and use it for moto and snowboarding, even used ... more »

there are 3 versions, white is the lowest, silver is mid range and black is the top of the line. quite a difference between the white to the black.
