Glad to see your bike made it back to you. A lot of them don't... Since there was no prep work done before they sprayed the paint your in luck. On the plastic use any cheap thick paste paint stripper. You might even use paint thinner. Both will work ... more »

Is there such a thing as a paint-able tank for the 83 CR480? I like my white bikes. They look "surgical" LOL I wonder if a 78/9 CR250 tank could be modified & look right? Maybe one from another machine? Thoughts before I spend $$? Stan

Not in this case Matt. I did finally get it off. Used a little heat & it finally started moving 1/100th of an inch at a time! I still have tranny probs, but at least I can now split the cases & have a look see. I guess sometimes you have to use ... more »

You cats are going the hard route with this mod. Here is the way I did this mod on my 83. Purchase 86-88 forks. Purchase 83-88 tripples. I like the rubber mounting of the later years. Plus I added Pro Tapers. Disassemble the leg that has the disk brake ... more »
