Jordan Bailey's Orange Brigade KTM 85

Jordan Bailey is one of the fastest amateur racers of our time and he really knows how to put an 85 through its paces. That’s why WMR Competition Performance built him a full Factory mini bike with tons custom made billet components and Titanium parts. WMR has been working with Jordan for many years and over those years they have learned how to dial in the bike to fit him perfectly. Some of the custom items include, Ti foot pegs, Ti brake tip, gripper seat cover, frame grip tape, full motor and suspension mods to match his riding style and components that will work under harsh racing conditions.

Jordan is a great test rider and that has helped WMR create the perfect engine and suspension package. It has also allowed Nihilo Concepts to develop tons of components that will improve the already awesome machine. The KTM 85 is capable of winning right out of the crate and it does every weekend but working with a rider like Jordan allows the team to perfect the machine to the highest level giving them the edge over the competition.

Jordan likes the power to hit hard and rev to the moon. WMR Competition Performance Builds and maintains all his race bikes and has tailored the motor to fit Jordan perfectly. Ported and blueprinted with ceramic bearings, polished transmission and all the Nihilo Concepts engine parts such as the High Compression head, billet clutch basket and HD springs, over sized water pump impeller/ cover, case saver, intake spacer, billet covers and much more top off the power plant.

Up front an oversize Nihilo 260mm full floating brake rotor gives Jordan that precise feel he likes in the turns it is paired up to the stock master cylinder with high temp fluid to keep the brakes cool. Jordan’s corner speed is amazing and he credits the front brake set up with allowing him to dive in harder and lighten the rear end with precision.

Because Jordan charges hard the brakes required some improvements. Carrying speed into the corners put stress on the stock rear brakes so WMR and Nihilo teamed up to create an adapter that allows a full size KTM rear brake to mount up to the 85. A custom made carrier holds a KTM 450 rear brake assembly and is paired up with a Nihilo extra thick rear rotor to allow this bike to stop on a dime. The brakes can take the heart and will not fade.

Jordan’s bikes all have FMF pipes and silencers, Dubya wheel sets with Talon Hubs and Excel rims, Dunlop tires and every Nihilo Concepts product made.

The suspension on Jordan’s bike has been dialed in by WMR’s suspension tech Nick McEntee. Custom made springs, DLC lower tubes, special coatings and internal valving round out the front end while the shock receives the same DLC coated shaft, custom spring and Nihilo over size Bladder Kit with custom valving.
