Upgrading my '06 to an '08 frame was a noticeable improvement to corner entry and holding. More so then revalving, new clamps and dialing in those legs. The '06 certainly felt vague yet stable but with the '08 and 24mm offset clamps it was right at both. ... more »

Good point, and something every collector must ponder. I know my father's generation had clamored for those old Winchester carbines, 73, 94's. But they're dying off....seems everyone now wants a composite.
