- Bike Checks
I sold it already, but no it doesnt work on CRF250, the 450 stuff is different.
Sold this kit a couple weeks back
I just paint oem ones
Still no takers, someone throw me a decent offer
Was cruising through Moto120's thread and liked his CF radiator cap that he put on so I snagged one also. Trick little packaging it comes in too.
Finished my bracket and CDI is installed, have good clearance all the way around and decent distance from heat.
Worked on making a bracket for the CDI mount today. Found a couple old hand guard mounts and spent about 2 hours making it into the bracket to hold the CDI plate. In the first picture (on the left) is the mount I started with and the finished product
Bump, couple people interested but no one has pulled the trigger
Went to work on mounting the CDI but then I got distracted and modified the top motor mounts, they didn't turn out perfect since I don't have any of the proper tools but still look good
Thats a steal
So I've come to the conclusion that the best spot for the CDI will be under the top of the frame by the cylinder engine mount, directly above the carb. Should be away from heat and ample room for the wires and a bracket to be put in place. I temporarily
No I haven't ridden it on a CR yet, but suppose to keep it more planted in a corner
You can get them on ebay or their website for $80 Here's the link http://www.mxbonz.com/NS2.htm
I have 2012 triple clamps so bottom bolts right up and they make a bracket that goes in place of where the CDI is mounted
Got the mounting bracket from Mac here on Vital, had a dampener laying around so I threw it on there, now to relocate the CDI
Yeah I don't think the 08 mount would work because the CR CDI is much bigger, I've been playing with different places and it seems like the cylinder motor mount area is going to be the area
So I've got a question, I'm installing the CRF dampener on the CR on the neck of the frame, my question is where is the best area to relocate the CDI to???
