Added reply in a thread 2015 YZ250F PROBLEMS! 4/26/2015 5:12 PM

Most every pro team running Yamaha 250f's pulls the electrical harness "out" when pressure washing the bike. Local builder here installs new stator and pump, stator not sending steady voltage to pump. Pull all electrical contacts apart clean and protect, ... more »

Wasn't that bad once I removed the drum bolt. But damn 6 gears a collar and shift fork, nothing wiped out like I'd see with the Suzuki's but quite a few edges rounded off on the dogs. Did a little shopping and saved $200 by not going with one of the ... more »

Added reply in a thread shower & back splash. 4/20/2015 6:31 PM

Motorhomes or bus chassis can be finicky. My Dad had to replace a wood floor in his from frame flex, but we towed a 36' race car trailer that caused it. A shower shouldn't be as bad but I'd be mindful and make sure it's water tight behind it.

I know where you're coming from, just put down my 15 year old miniature beagle. I cried like a baby when I put her under the oak tree in our back yard.

Started new thread YZ250 transmission, what now? 4/20/2015 6:24 PM

Ok it's on the bench, but I split it leaving the crank and trans in the right half. Like I always did on the RM's where I lift the shift fork shafts out and remove the forks, gears and gearshafts from there. BUT there isn't shift fork shafts when looking ... more »

The "ghetto" usually comes up from Tampa 40+ miles away! Stolen dirt bikes from around here are usually found blown up in the crack neighborhoods of Tampa \ St. Pete.

I loved the business name Duffy had on the van! In the beginning Boyd was somewhat the preacher recruiting the skinheads, looked like history repeating itself to me. My wife right away said that hat didn't look right on Raylon. I liked the way him and ... more »

No doors or windows in mine (built myself). Too many friends and fellow racers have had garages broke into and things stolen, guess how the thieving bastards got in? If I'm out there working garage door is open and I use a blower (fan) from work, hot ... more »

Added reply in a thread RM125 gearbox. Donor wanted! 4/16/2015 5:33 PM

If my kid was 14 again or I had to do it all over again with the RM's. I would send the gears off and have the dogs trued up. Most only make contact on 50% of the surfaces, then send them off for cryo. But I still think this would only give it about ... more »
