Hi Steve, and thanks again for being everybody's friend!! So you were into the world of BMX at some point. My son, rparmenter, was too, back in the late 80's. Did you ever know John Crews? We knew a couple of other true champs in those days. john went on to coach the olympic team in Pennsylvania (quite an honor to have been asked!!!!) He shows up at occassional MX races. Still owns Bicycles Plus in Folsom, CA outside Sacramento.

They're really easy to ride and not the monsters that people sometimes think. If you ever come down here to Texas, let me know and you can take mine for a spin. You'll see, they're kind of like a lighter, lower CG 450 with a really responsive, zappy engine. I weighed mine, and it's 225 without gas, so it's about 15 lb lighter than a 450. The next time you come down here, let me know, you'll love the thing.
Naw, those 500AFs are real easy to ride. About 20 guys have ridden my '03, and there were only a couple of them that really disliked it. Probably 10 of them seriously wanted to buy one, the others liked one aspect or another but wouldn't want to own one.
Have you ever ridden one? I know TWMX has done some tests on them.
Ok, I give in, I'll contribute to the site. Just bring an 08 RMZ450 to Steel City and drop it off at the trailer...I'll do a longterm test for ya. Geez. Sorry I missed you at RedBud.
Guy B,
just read the article about the "Incident At Southwick" and man, you got a set of... well you know, they come before bearings...Lol.
As a fellow pro journo myself, I live by a credo when it comes to writing. "Our job is to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comforable."
Your piece about racism as opposed to raceism is spot on. I used to wonder if knuckleheads were secretly giving Mr Stewart a hard time. He refuses to comment on it several times I have asked.
Hey! it's dave's wife...Talk to dave (MSR)about video of the smash up derby..can't believe you haven't seen it! It was for Nick Wey's wedding, we did it the day before, even the girls (me, nicole and her mom)had a car. It was classic! Speed, fuel, a farm and a fire!..Todd said you guys might just have to put it up! That would be awesome! Take care!
THANK YOU =)
I'm going to the Dominican Republic in the morning for a week of riding, surfing, diving, and sight-seeing! Yay. No one buy you bday gifts quite like yourself! Maybe I should bring the wig with me? I like it!
