Gary, here's a cool pic of me on your RM250 from the Maine State Championship race a few yrs ago. I loved the bike and definitely loved that gear combo.

I have that gear also and I love it :-) Ok, this is my 2 cents on the subject so take it for it's worth. I loved that RM and both of my KTM 300SXs but on all three of my 2 strokes my lap times would drop dramatically on the last 2 laps of pretty much ... more »

Thanks Gary :-) You got great starts yesterday and I could hear my old RM250 singing behind me for the first lap or so of our 2 motos together. I miss that sound for sure!!

Not dying a massive over jump is a HUGE bonus Seth :-)

I only used my AER's for 3 races but they were at 3 different track and I really liked them. I was running 145psi. I had the comp on 16 comp and the rebound on 18. I was running them on the 2nd line and had the rear at 105mm of sag. They're definitely ... more »

I've been running 104-105 on all 3 of my 450s and when Powerband came to the Racer X event in Maine a few wks ago he set mine from 105 to 108 and that's where it's been for the last 3 weekends. He was very surprised at just how rough the track was. I've ... more »

I called my guy at KTM yesterday they called the dealer and I'm not sure what's going on other than bike is still at the shop and he's not happy that he might miss this weekends race.

My buddy's 17.5 450FE bike has been acting funny, starting hard and on occasion not starting at all. I pulled his filter at the races 2 wks ago at the races and it had a ton of crap in it. I popped one of my spares in and it started right up and ran ... more »

I like to steer with the front end but definitely use both ends depending on the track and the situation, why?

Reply to Cone Valve-AER48-4CS Ride Height? 10/5/2017 7:45 AM

I ran my cone valves on the 3rd line on 15.5 FE450 because of the length difference between the 4CS and the cone valve forks. I ran my cone valves on my 16 & 17 on the 2nd line because the cone valves are very close to the same length as the AER ... more »

This pic is from Sunday's race at NHMX in NH and it's definitely nothing special at all but I love the gear.

I'll do the forks for $2900 plus shipping. They're as close to brand new as you're going to find.

Reply to 4CS forks vs 2017 Airfork? 9/29/2017 2:53 PM

Me personally, I love the traditional spring cone valves over my stock AER fork but that being said I'm testing a pr of AER cone valves right now. I've got just about 3 hrs on them but all on the same track (MX 207 at the Racer X event in Maine) and ... more »

Yup, that one definitely left a mark :-) that Husky with its wimpy suspension and weak frame probably broke in half on impact.
