Hi All My name is Gary Lamb and I was the guy driving the big yellow 12-G motorgrader building the race tracks for ten years..Also pretty much running the whole 600 acres park With Walt James from 1975 until closing in March of 1985..I want to make one thing clear the Dunes DID NOT CLOSE BECAUSE OF RACERS OR SUPERCROSS TYPE TRACKS..AS MR HUNKY HAD CLAMED, IT CLOSED BECAUSE OF PLAY RIDERS AND PEOPLE WHO CRASHED SOME WHERE ELSE AND HAD THERE BUDDYS BRING THEM TO THE DUNES TO CLAIM THEY CRASHED AT OUR PARK KNOWING OUR INSURANCE CO. WOULD SETTLE WITH THEM..We had insurance co. lined up to sell us Race Insurance. Put in 1985 No Insurance Co. would sell us general overall Park insurance..to cover the everyday operation...I am proud that Indian Dunes was responsible for a lot of top riders the likes of Donny Hansen,Johnny O, Kyle Lewis,Eric Kehole,Larry Brooks,Jeff Ward,Jim "Hollywood" Holly,Kenny Zart and many many More..Known as The Indian Dunes Wrecking Crew..
