IMO: when you buy a 10 plus year old bike used, even if the bike is in great shape (according to the listing...), you should go through most everything to assure the integrity of the main functioning systems. Suspension, engine, wheels, brakes....so ... more »

The basket spins at a fraction of crankshaft speed so the effect is not the same as adding a flywheel weight...

Get the mods that make you most comfortable, and build a reliable engine first, HP second. The bike is fast enough, get to the finish line. DJ is one of the best, work with him and get the suspension dialed that is more important then most everything ... more »

Nice job on the Kawi Steve, if you really want a beast engine try a Boyesen V-Force. I added one to my 2006 and "WOW"! Ran an FMF Gnarley and the short silencer and it was a rocket for sure.
