We were supposed to hand out the Rookie of the Year Award at the presentation awards at Lucas Mansion the Sunday after the Ironman finale but Chase and his team were unable to attend as they were already headed to the MXGP of the USA in Florida. DC Racer ... more »

JW381, when I looked over at one of the main Youthstream guys when it happened, he laughed and said, That's the kind of thing you see at the Nations! If he was okay with it, I was okay with it... I just didn't want him (or any fan) to make it a habit ... more »

That crazy fan that ran out to wave Eli on was not thrown out, but I did go stand over by guy fence in case he tried it again! It was a really good event with a great crowd and I hope (and expect) it to return next Labor Day weekend with even more participation ... more »

MotoX85, I'm not sure what it is you don't understand: I still ride, I don't hit like a girl, the track was changed THAT MORNING by our track architect, it wasn't the same at the regional. And I din't want Dean or your kid or anyone else to leave in ... more »

Mr. Kobby, a guy misses on a rut, he falls over. Guy misses on a big uphill double, he lands and usually bounces. Guy catches a wheel on a lip like this wall jump, he goes head-first into the next jump. That doesn't usually end well. In fact, it usually ... more »

All the credit in the world is due to Jeffrey for taking it as a personal challenge and giving it everything he had in both motos (and credit to KTM and Roger for not asking him to help Marvin or Blake in that first moto, which some were saying was the ... more »

I really don't understand why you're acting like every rider is FORCED to jump it. Not one guy is FORCED to go and jump that wall. Deano did it because he's ballsy, does one man's ballsy-ness have the ability to influence your decisions? They will try ... more »

Ruy, Zach said he doesn't like big jumps, which is fine -- I never liked whoops. But Zach does pretty damn good on big jumps, as you might recall he won both the Pro Motocross and 250 SX titles this year, and he won Ironman going away. It's just his ... more »

Colintrax, I had a safety crew: Eli, Blake, Jeffrey, Zach and Jeremy were all out there for press day. Before the second session I told them it was taken out. None of them wanted it back in. And the Godzilla Jump had a mellow, flat landing, not s sharp ... more »

The jump should not have been built that way in the first place. It was in there for one press-day session and I asked that it be removed for the safety of all the riders, pro and amateur alike, not because I wanted to ruin anyone's entertainment. The ... more »

MX Sports is not the promoter of the MXGP of the USA, those aren't "our 36 amateur classes," but I am glad they are there. The U.S. promoter is Unlimited MX and the venue is WW Motocross Park, the series organizer is Youthstream. All of us would like ... more »

Tough crowd... MXB2, how cool was it just to bench-race with the guy? He's here to have fun and race dirt bikes with other fast guys, nothing more or less. That's pretty damn cool. I'm guessing he does well. His approach is old-school, and he just seems ... more »
