MotoGrady, no worries at all.... But I don't see why or how I should pay Jonathan's debt to the state of Maryland when I still have a massive reclamation bill to fix Steel City from the DNR in Pennsylvania. Why would I ask ANY promoter or anyone else ... more »

"That place struggled to hit National caliber. Didn't the promoter abscond with all the money from the last race? The National?" No, that was my dad. He paid the purse for the last race, it was an Inter-Am/125 National. The owner of the farm was the ... more »

No, you aren't wrong, we are involved in all 12 nationals as the series promoter. And we help out all 12 tracks, just as I try to help out all of the other magazines when the opportunity arises. And most of the promoters of those other tracks come and ... more »

I don't know Motogrady, I'm not sure any of the 12 outdoor national tracks I've been to have 200 foot jumps ten minutes from the airport. You live in West Virginia too. Does High Point look like that? Budds Creek? Muddy Creek? (Wait, there is an airport ... more »

Motogrady, what exactly does MX Sports "owe" Jonathan over a race he did 10 years ago with another organizer? We have been there busting our asses for his event ever since, doing our best to make the national work, often at the expense of our own events ... more »

No lawyer speak, kkawboy 14, I'm not a lawyer anyway. But again, no, there are not "three or four tracks biting their finger nails right now," other than all of us worrying about the weather and hoping the riders all stay healthy and nice crowds show ... more »

No one has the contract we want in place, kkawboy14, or we would all have guaranteed 85 degree days, no injuries, and great racing. We just do the best we can with whatever we're dealt each weekend... And Matthes would be thrown out of our after-parties ... more »

mx 219, that's fine, but I believe I know what I'm talking about when I say it's news to me that three or four nationals are on the chopping block. We would all love to see more people at every round, especially Budds Creek. But that doesn't mean three ... more »

Three or four nationals on the chopping block? That's the first I've heard of that. Glad to hear Johnathan is making changes. High Point was on Memorial Day for more than twenty years but had to change because of the travel pattern requests of the race ... more »

mxcolin, I don't know how it works for Monster in NASCAR, but they are exclusive there, and not in moto. I'm glad for that so that Red Bull and Rockstar can support teams, and I'm glad Red Bull is not exclusive in our series, which allows teams to have ... more »

It is an unfortunate situation, but it's the nature of the television business and the sports entertainment business. If Monster Energy Supercross is not on TV, no team or rider would have nearly the sponsors they have now. If Lucas Oil Pro Motocross ... more »
