About Me
My name is Christina Stickel and I am from Nanjemoy, Maryland. I am 18 years old and going to college full time to get my associates degree in photography. I also work at a camera store on the week nights. Most weekends I’m at a race or planning the next race I will go to. I love motocross and everything that comes along with it. I grew up around it when I was little because my older brother raced. My first race was when I was like 4 months old. I do not remember it but I am sure I enjoyed it. While growing up I loved taking pictures, pictures of anything and everything. When I got older I really started to take photography seriously. I was still going to the track since my brother’s son started racing and a lot of my friend’s raced. One weekend I took my Nikon film camera I used in school to take pictures of my friends racing and I really enjoyed it. One thing led to another and next thing I knew I had a whole set up of camera’s and lenses. My first Amateur National was at the World Mini in April of last year. It was a great experience and I learned a lot. I started doing work for some magazines and next thing I knew I was shooting the 2007 AMA Pro Motocross National at Budds Creek. From there I went on to shoot the 2007 Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National and the 2007 Motocross Des Nations at Budds Creek. I have traveled to many races up and down the east coast and I love every race I go to. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I also do race reports and interviews every now and then. After I get my degree my goal is to land a job with a major motocross magazine taking pictures and writing articles. I have been doing this seriously for over a year now and I know this is what I want to do with my life. I just want to thank my parents for always supporting me, mentally and financially. I wouldn’t be where I am today with out them. Check out my photo's on www.pbase.com/cstickelmxphoto
