I'm glad you want to stick to the navy blue colour. Plastics are hard to find but should be possible. Here is CEET seat cover in navy blue.

Btw I use 10w oil in my forks as I was told by someone who raced back in the day that the 5w oils that are standard now wasn't used at that time so the fork would be to soft with 5w. Did you buy the other bike?

Nice to see a Swedish evo build! Where are you located? I'm in Gothenburg and have a 90 cr125 that I restored some years ago. It's very nice to ride despite the harsh forks, they are better than I expected but by no means good

Nice bike! Sure looks like a 97, look up the VIN at oem-cycle.com. Regardless year those bikes have great engine and are very good looking in my opinion. Good luck with the build!

Thanks for asking! Not much, but at the moment I'm working on a skid plate and prepare the frame for welding mounts for the plate and water pump guard. Unfortunately I have no pics of the progress but I attach a bunch of race pics of the bikes from 97.

Are you sure?

All the parts I have collected myself so it's not a former team bike. i was just curious to know where the graphics comes from and how those bikes looked. Thanks anyway.

Cool project, especially since it is the original bike! I love these years CR125 and have a 96 myself. The graphics I have seem to come from a Dutch team but I haven't managed to find any info on which team and riders. Do you recognize them? Good luck

Very nice build, nice to add parts subsequently as they come

Are you sure the right frame guard is mounted correctly? Looks like it should be turned 180 degrees with the logo part covering the master cylinder?

So nice to see all mini bikes, they bring back fine memories. My dream bike in 93 was the new YZ80 but I couldn't afford a new bike then. Last summer I found a low hour bike at a fair price. I have cleaned it up and will have it as bedroom furniture

Added reply in a thread Retro builds... use stick-on numbers??? 12/10/2016 5:04 AM

Important question

Some top GP riders used preprinted tecnosel backgrounds already in the 80s but as digital printing didn't exist then they were silk screen printed which is very expensive. I prefer to not use printed backgrounds but it is ... more »

I'm quite sure only 91 125/250 fits. 90 was shorter and 93 & onwards have the low pipe routing so the reservoir have high position.

Thanks for the remark but it actually is navy blue but I guess the sunlight together with my crappy phone camera makes it look too bright

Regarding the gearbox it looked stock to me so I guess it can have been changed over the years in Sweden. ... more »

Thanks for shown interest and for you offer to help with anodizing McRoss! Regarding the spigeot I want to avoid the hassle of welding, my plan is to just plug it. Since it will require just too much money to bring it back to showroom condition my philosophy
